W.O.W: Week of Welcome Opens Spring Semester!

Spring is in the air – the Spring semester, that is – it’s the first day of class, and UHD’s traditional Week of Welcome (W.O.W.) is ready for new and returning Gators on Jan. 17-19.

Hosted by UHD Student Activities, students will meet fellow Gators, get familiar with the campus, and learn more about various UHD departments, services, and student organizations. Free giveaways, including T-shirts, masks, keychains, and other Gator gear are being offered throughout the week, and a variety of fun activities are planned.

“It is so important to welcome our students to the Gator Family,” said Tremaine Kwasikpui, Director of Student Activities and President of UHD Staff Council. “I want to thank the faculty and staff for participation and support of student programming.”

Kwasikpui added, “Week of Welcome is offering a historic event this semester: the Grand Opening of the Wellness & Success Center. We also have the Grow with Google Pizza Party, a Meet & Greet with a major TikTok Influencer (Estefania Saavedra), and an event we call T-shirts and Desserts with the Dean of Students Office, to name just a few opportunities.”
