UHD College of Business alumna, and President and CEO of Fuzion Apps, Laquitta DeMerchant was honored by the World Youth Foundation, Inc. at their annual brunch on Saturday. DeMerchant was honored with the 2015 Community Impact Award for her work as an outstanding volunteer.

DeMerchant is a strong supporter of UHD, and was recently featured on billboards and in promotional materials for the University's "Major Opportunity" campaign.

Along with hundreds of business, community, faith and political leaders at the event, DeMerchant was joined by fellow UHD alumni Deary Hudson III and DeNae Woodard as well as Director of the UHD College of Business Career Center, Brett Hobby.
