Women's Self Defense Class
The UHD Police Department and Sports & Fitness are hosting a Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) class, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., on April 27 and May 4 and 11 in the Student Life Center.
RAD, a program of realistic, self-defense tactics and techniques, is a comprehensive course for women that begins awareness prevention, risk reduction and avoidance and progresses to the basics of hands-on defense training. Participants will learn:
- Defense against the most common strikes.
- Lifestyle awareness and empowerment attacks.
The classes are open to all female UHD students, faculty and staff. Space is limited. The course fee is $25 per person (includes course booklet). To register, visit uhd.edu/sportsandfitness.
