Volunteers Needed for Community Awareness Campaign at Malls

UHD Community:

The University of Houston-Downtown is embarking on a new recruitment and community awareness campaign throughout the month of March at four local malls. It is ambitious and we need all hands on deck to make this the success we know it will be.

We need everyone to sign-up for a shift at one of the mall locations and attend a training session that will prepare you for the types of questions you might be asked during your shift. Flex schedules need to be considered and encouraged for those able to take on weekend and evening shifts at the various locations. We hope that all employees of our university, including both faculty and staff will participate in this recruiting effort.

Our Admissions team cannot provide this resource alone. If each UHD employee would sign up for one 4-hour shift, we will be able to meet this obligation and promote the university in a very positive light. Of course, we welcome anyone who is able to support this effort beyond one 4-hour shift.

Our goal is to reach new populations of potential students and get the word out that there is "Major Opportunity" at UHD.

Please sign up for your shift online today by clicking on one of the mall icons below. You can select your preferred hours and mall location by signing up early. Please note we will have trainings in room A425 on from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Feb. 22 and 23 and from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 27 and 28.
