The University is in the process of modernizing the University Keying System and Key Control Card System. This process will affect everyone on campus and is the best practice for the University after 20 years of the current system use.

In the upcoming months, each department will be contacted to discuss the re-keying of each area. The Student Life Center and the Academic Advising and Transfer Center ( located on the third floor) are already on the new system.

Each department has already selected an approver and requestor for keys. In the next few months, each department will be contacted to attend a short training session on the new Electronic Key Request Form.

Once the re-keying process is completed, the operation of Key Management and the issuance of new keys will be transferred to the UHD Police Department.
