UHD's Accelerated Transfer Academy & Social Work Program Host Mindfulness Mondays
UHD’s Accelerated Transfer Academy (ATA) and the College of Public Service’s Department of Social Work are launching the series, “Mindfulness Mondays” beginning Monday, Oct. 25
This series was birthed as a result of the significant change, loss and different circumstances that has effected the UHD Community in the last two years. To combat the negative impacts of stress and to create a community of healing related to coping with the events these last two years, these “Mindfulness Mondays” sessions invite students, faculty and staff to come together and focus on their well-being while building greater resilience as a community.
“Mindfulness Mondays,” will be held in-person and virtually Monday mornings from 9:15-9:45 a.m. The four consecutive sessions will focus on the theme “Self-Compassion.” Of note, it is not required to attend all sessions
