The University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) dragon boat team placed first in the University Cup Division and seventh overall in the Division C Champ Community Division at the 13th Annual Gulf Coast International Dragon Boat Regatta on Oct. 8-9.

The regatta hosted more than 50 dragon boat teams. UHD competed against University of Houston, University of St. Thomas, Texas Chiropractic College, MD Anderson Super Heroes, Aga Khan Rowing Club and more.
