Student Activities Sponsors Blood Drive
Roll up your sleeve and give the gift of life! The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center is hosting a campus blood drive, 11 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., April 18 – 19, sponsored by Student Activities in the Special Events Center, Academic Building, Room A300. Schedule an appointment online for Monday or Tuesday. Walk-ins are welcome! For more details, contact events@giveblood.org.

Spring 2022 Veterans Stole Ceremony
The UHD Community is invited to honor upcoming UHD graduates who proudly served in the U.S. Armed Forces at the annual Veterans Stole Ceremony at 10 a.m., Friday, April 22, in the Wilhelmina Cullen Robertson Auditorium. UHD Veterans will be presented with specially designed camouflage stoles for the commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 15.

The Russia-Ukraine Conflict: Implications for East Asian Security
The College of Humanities & Social Sciences is hosting the virtual presentation, “The Russia-Ukraine Conflict and Its implications for East Asian Security,” featuring Dr. David C. Kang, 1 – 2:45 p.m., Friday, April 22. Kang is the Maria Crutcher Professor of International Relations and the Director of the Korean Studies Institute at the University of Southern California. A regular consultant for U.S. government agencies and the military, Kang has also written opinion pieces in the New York Times, the Financial Times, the Washington Post, and the Los Angeles Times, and appears regularly in media such as CNN, PBC, the BBC, and NPR.
