UHD VegOut Event Nov. 11

UHD communication students have teamed up with Recipe for Success to create and launch UHD VegOut 2015.

vegoutflyers2Students enrolled in the Small Group Communication (COMM 3315) course and Research Methods (COMM 3314) course are integrating communication studies theory and research into practice through their engagement in a service learning project aimed at encouraging students, faculty and staff to embrace a healthier lifestyle.

The event will be held in the Academic Building on Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in front of the 3rd floor mural space. The UHD community is encouraged to take a break and Veg Out at one of many interactive and educational booths to test your knowledge on vegetables and learn how to incorporate a variety of vegetables into your current diet.

Recipe for Success is a Houston-based, nonprofit organization that promotes healthy eating through multiple channels and sources.
