UHD to Welcome Career Speaker and Writer Chaz Pitts-Kyser
Writer and speaker Chaz Pitts-Kyser will come to campus Tuesday, April 7 to speak to students about achieving personal and career success.
Pitts-Kyser, who earned a master's degree in publishing from Pace University and bachelor's degrees in journalism and sociology from Texas State University, has a passion for empowering college students and young professionals to find their career paths. She is the author of "Embracing the Real World: The Black Woman's Guide to Life After College," the first and only book to address the unique concerns of black, female college graduates.
Following the success of the book, Pitt-Kyser was inspired to publish the all-encompassing "Careeranista: The Woman's Guide to Success After College." She will be available to sign copies of the book following the presentation.
Pitt-Kyser's company, Careeranista, hosts a website which offers career-related articles, videos, and profiles of young professionals in various industries.
The event will take place April 7, at 1:30 p.m. in the Wilhelmina Cullen Robertson Auditorium. It is supported by the Career Development Center, W.I. Dykes Library and the Fondren Foundation.
