UHD to Mark Hispanic-Serving Institutions Week Sept. 14-19

UHD is a diverse institution, with 47 percent of the University's students identifying as Hispanic. Because our enrollment includes at least 25 percent of students who identify as Hispanic, UHD has been designated by the U.S. Department of Education as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI).

UHD will join other HSI universities in celebrating HSI Week on Sept. 14-19 with events planned throughout the week.

HSI Week Kickoff Event (a Common Reader follow-up event)

"The Other Side of Immigration," a film by Roy Germano

This event includes a viewing of the film and a follow-up discussion. Refreshments will be served.

Community Service Event: Randalls/Target Hunger Will Walk 4 Food 5K Awareness Walk

At this 5K walk (3.1 miles), participants can take part by walking, volunteering or sponsoring walkers. Join Team UHD and help raise $10,000 to support Target Hunger.
