Welcome Week Fall 2021

The University of Houston-Downtown welcomes students back with "Welcome Week" events as it kicks off the Fall 2021 semester Aug. 23-27. 

Welcome Week is filled with opportunities for new and returning students to get acquainted with campus, various departments and services, staff and faculty, and peers while also getting to participate in a variety of fun activities.

Welcome week activities and perks include:

• Free Vaccine Event hosted by H-E-B on Aug. 26
• Daily Gator Scavenger Hunt with gift card giveaways 
• Meet and Greet with Native Houstonian and Boxing Champion Marlen Esparza 
• Comedy, Music, and Cultural Events
• Esports gaming
• Free Tacos on Taco Tuesday
• Free Gator Goodies and Prizes

The university will also host a weeklong voter registration drive for students from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the third-floor hallway in One Main Building and a free COVID-19 vaccine event hosted by H-E-B.
