UHD to Introduce New Degree Program at Open House Nov. 4

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences will host an open house to introduce UHD's new Bachelor of Science in Health & Behavioral Science (BSHBS) degree program. The campus will welcome prospective students on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 6-7:30 p.m. in room A300. The program will include presentations and information sessions; light refreshments will be served.

Bachelor of Science in Health & Behavioral Science (BSHBS):

The BSHBS degree program combines a liberal arts education with professional health-related experiences that prepare graduates for entry-level careers in healthcare and aging. Students will concentrate in one of two tracks:

  • Healthcare Navigation: This track prepares students for work in medical case management and patient advocacy.
  • Aging: This track prepares students for careers in geriatric care, promoting health and wellness.

Potential transfer students will have an opportunity to meet with an Open House advisor to make transitioning to UHD seamless.

For more degree information, contact Cindy Stewart, associate professor of the Department of Social Sciences, at 713-221-8173.
