UHD to Host Technology Learning Conference

The Academic Technology Conference and the UHD Technology Teaching and Learning Center at the University of Houston-Downtown invite faculty and staff to the Technology Learning Conference, March 23-24th on campus.

The TLC is a two-day conference which includes sessions on:

  • Best practices in student engagement
  • Teaching and learning technologies
  • Innovative resources

Each of the days will feature guest speakers of interest in innovative teaching and learning. Additionally, day two of the conference will highlight the works of our faculty.

The 2016 Conference Sketch is as follows:

  • Wednesday, March 23; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 23; 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Meet & Greet)
  • Thursday, March 24; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In order to obtain an accurate count for refreshments, materials, etc., please submit your registration by Wednesday, March 23. Seating will be limited, so please register early. We reserve the right to close registration early if we approach a number of attendees we cannot accommodate.

The Technology Learning Conference started as a vision from the Academic Technology Committee, formed by a team of dedicated faculty and staff from across many areas of the campus. The conference was designed to showcase, discuss and demonstrate technology being used in the classroom.
