UHD to Host Fall 2014 Commencement Ceremony Dec. 20

The University of Houston-Downtown will hold its 57th commencement ceremony at Minute Maid Park on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014.

Gates open for students and guests at 8:30 a.m. Students should report to the stadium promptly to check in and receive final instructions. Students should use the Atrium Entrance. Family and guests must use the Right & Center Field Entrances.

The procession line will begin moving at 10:15 a.m. with opening remarks starting at 11 a.m. Tickets are not required for entrance into Minute Maid Park.

Participating faculty should meet in the Diamond Club located on the 1st floor of the ballpark at 9 a.m. The Diamond Club is best accessible through the Clock Tower Entrance located off of Hamilton Avenue. Robing space for faculty will be provided.

Parking is available at the Right Field parking lot for a flat fee of $7 (Hamilton @ Texas Avenue) and some metered parking is available on the street. Please note that meters are not free on Saturdays.

Live streaming will be available via the UHD commencement website for those who cannot attend.

The Fall 2014 keynote address will be delivered by Charles A. McClelland, Jr. ('98), Houston Chief of Police.
