UHD to Host Career Fair Week

Students attend the job fair

The University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) Career Center will host a series of career fairs during the new Career Fair Week. The fairs will run from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Oct. 11 - 14 in the Academic Building, A300.

The dates for each fair are:

  • Public service and education employers - Tuesday, Oct. 11
  • Liberal arts employers - Wednesday, Oct. 12
  • Graduate programs - Friday, Oct. 14

This is the first time the Career Center has offered more specialized fairs and the first non-STEM graduate school fair at UHD. More than 70 employers and organizations will be on campus to connect with students during Career Fair Week. In addition, it is the first time employers will be conducting interviews in tandem with the career fairs.

"We are excited about all these initiatives and the energy a week of career exploration can bring," said Laura Weseley, director of the Career Center. "Students will have the opportunity to meet with employers, engage with graduate school representatives and interview for jobs in one week."
