UHD to Host Book Signing Event, March 5

The UHD Library will host a book signing and meet and greet with Miko Branch, co-founder and CEO of Miss Jessie's Natural Hair Care products.

Branch will be available in the UHD Bookstore on Saturday, March 5, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to sign copies of her book, Miss Jessie's: Creating a Successful Business From Scratch-Naturally, a memoir and business guide rich with inspirational life lessons, unique business advice and handy hair tips.

The memoir chronicles Branches' remarkable story from her childhood learning independence as a latchkey kid in Jamaica, Queens, to co-founding her remarkable company with her sister, Titi Branch, in their shared home salon in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Branch speaks honestly of her mistakes and successes, and of her role as an industry leader, negotiating multi-million dollar deals while at the same time restoring the self esteem of natural and curly haired women. At its core, the memoir confirms that with effort the American Dream is possible.

Stop by, get a copy and have your book signed by the author.
