UHD to Host 'Around the World Series' Sept. 15

The University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) will host the "Around the World Series" from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 15 in the Academic Building's Special Events Center, A300.

The event is presented by Eisha Khan, UHD student and founder of the United Nations Association at UHD.

Keynote speakers are:

  • Daniel Agranov, Consul of the Consulate General of Israel to the Southwest
  • Guy Cohen, director of Cultural Affairs of the Consulate General of Israel to the Southwest
  • Myrna Cohen, associate dean of UHD's College of Public Service
  • Rabbi Annie Belford, spiritual leader at Temple Sinai and one of the first women to serve as a solo Rabbi within a Houston congregation

The event will feature activities and performances by authors and dancers. Traditional cuisine will be served.
