The results of the UHD Staff Council elections are in. Several new Executive Committee members and Ambassadors were elected and will assume leadership roles for the 2019-2020 academic year. They will take office on Sept. 1.

Newly elected officers and ambassadors are:

• President: Rhonda Scherer, associate director, Sports & Fitness (appointed due to the departure of President-Elect Percy Jackson)

• Communications Officer: Percy Sandel, coordinator, Client Relationship Management, Enrollment Management Services
• Academic & Student Affairs Ambassador: Lois Green, program advisor, Talent Search
• Academic & Student Affairs Ambassador: Vanessa Rojas, CHSS advisor, Humanities & Social Sciences
• Academic & Student Affairs Ambassador: Jeancarlo  Guzman, administrative assistant, Registrar’s Office/Enrollment Management
