UHD Serves as a Polling Site for the First Time Ever!

Gators, now it’s easier than ever to make your voice heard—UHD is hosting on-campus voting for both early voting and Election Day voting!

For the first time in its history, UHD is proud to be an official polling site along with the University of Houston and Texas Southern University. UHD accepted Mayor Sylvester Turner’s Early Vote Challenge, which runs from October 24 to November 4. Each day the election clerk at each campus will tally the number of votes and report back to the Mayor’s Office. When the challenge ends, the campus with the most votes wins the challenge and will earn bragging rights as leading the charge in this election cycle.

Dates and times for early voting and Election Day are below. The voting location is in the Milam & Travis Rooms of the UHD Welcome Center. Parking is FREE in the Visitor Parking garage on Girard Street for the first 30 minutes.

If you’re interested in becoming involved in UHD’s student organization dedicated to voter registration and other causes, contact Texas Rising, UHD Chapter, at uhd@tfn.org  or on Instagram: @texrisinguhd.
