The University of Houston-Downtown soon will host the Houston Food Bank's Backpack Buddy Program Wednesday, Feb. 17, serving K-12 students, on campus. This initiative provides families and children in need with school supplies, food, hygiene packs and other items to ensure a successful school year.

From 3 - 6 p.m., or until supplies run out, UHD's Daly Street Lot will host a pop-up shop for the Backpack Buddy Program, and volunteers are needed. Interested participants can sign up for time slots online.
