UHD Ranks No. 22 Among Top Colleges for Adults Returning to School

In recognition of the growing population of college students over the age of 25, Best College Reviews recently compiled a ranking of schools that best serve adult learners. The ranking was based on factors the site determined are important to adults who are looking to return to school: percentage of students over the age of 25, college acceptance rate, percentage of distance education students and availability of flexible scheduling options.

UHD came in at number 22 on the list. As of fall 2013, 49 percent of UHD undergraduate students were age 25 and over, and 42 percent of students were enrolled in at least one distance education course. Best College Reviews noted the University's strength in offering off-campus programs for nontraditional students, including satellite campuses, online courses, live video instruction and hybrid courses. In addition to these flexible course options, the University was applauded for the quality of academic support and service available to off-campus students.
