President's Message: Still Time to Give to Gators
As you know, our students have the strength of character that drives them to complete their degrees while balancing family, work and other responsibilities. They are committed to earning degrees to create a better future for themselves and their families.
However, I speak less often about the grit and resolve of our remarkable faculty and staff, but I see it as well. It’s evident in those of you who go the extra mile to help students navigate the complexities of higher education at UHD. You are a constant source of guidance and encouragement that is a hallmark of student success. I also see your dedication to UHD when you commit to the Give to Gators program. To date, 51% of our faculty and staff have contributed approximately $68,615 to the program. That is quite an accomplishment! Your gifts support programs, scholarships, the Gator Relief Fund, the W.I. Dykes Library, and many other UHD priorities. But, we set an ambitious stretch goal of 60% participation, and we only need 137 gifts to reach that goal. That’s a big leap for the last few days of the campaign, but I believe in you—your grit and your determination. Help me, and UHD, reach a new level of success in our annual Give to Gator campaign.
If you’ve already made a gift, thank you. You have demonstrated your commitment to UHD. If you’re still considering a contribution, please give now. Take a moment to make your pledge through payroll deduction by visiting the Give to Gators website (login with network username and password), use a pledge card for cash/check or make a credit card gift. Every dollar contributes to the success of UHD students and to a stronger University.
I extend my special thanks to those departments that have achieved 100% giving.
