Dear UHD Community:

October marks one of our most exciting and newest campus traditions—UHD 2017 Homecoming: The Main Street Experience. University traditions serve as a reminder that we each play a part in something amazing—a long-lasting legacy of educating Houstonians who make a difference in our communities every day.

Thoughtfully planned by faculty, students and staff, our week-long UHD Homecoming celebration (Oct. 16-21) provides a number of opportunities for our UHD community to show its Gator Pride by actively participating in the planned activities. Visit the UHD homecoming websitefor a list of events.

All students, staff and faculty are cordially invited to celebrate the homecoming festivities with me on Tuesday, October 17 at “BBQ With The President” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the South Deck.
