UHD Planning and Budget Committee to Hold Informational Assembly

The UHD Planning and Budget Development Committee will hold an informational assembly for all interested faculty, staff and students on Monday, May 11 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in Robertson Auditorium.

The purpose of the assembly is to promote transparency and provide information on the budget planning process for the FY15 University budget. All University faculty, staff and students represent stakeholders in the budget planning process, and should be well-informed on how existing resources are spent and future dollars are generated, prioritized and allocated in the general operation of the University, as well as the strategic priorities of UHD.

A tentative agenda for the assembly includes:

Resource/Revenue Overview

  • Current State of Texas legislative activity
  • Board of Regents-approved tuition/fee increase
  • Growth money
  • Use of one-time funds
  • Reallocations, etc.

Presentation of Top Priorities for the FY16 Budget

By: Ed Hugetz, Interim Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost

  • Proposed use of new and reallocated funds in FY16
  • Alignment of PBDC recommendations with strategic plan/priorities
  • Progress card, etc.
