UHD Partners with Mammosafe to Offer Breast Cancer Screenings

On Thursday, Dec. 3, UHD is partnering with Mammosafe to provide screening mammograms in a true race against breast cancer.

Mammosafe is a ground-breaking advancement in mobile breast health management, providing real time imaging and evaluation — meaning participants can often leave the screening with preliminary results. The Mammosafe mobile coach is very much like a traditional free standing breast imaging center, with an additional benefit — the unit comes to the patients.

Women age 35 and older are eligible for this vital testing — all UHD employees, students, spouses are welcome. Mammosafe is in the network with all the major insurance carriers and the exam is usually 100 percent covered. The cash price for a mammogram without insurance is $150.

Mammosafe will be held at the UHD campus from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Girard near the intersection of Travis and Girard.
