UHD on the Rise According to U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Rankings

UHD continues to be a university on the rise! The University climbed 15 points in the recent 2024 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings to No. 62 in Overall Rank for Regional Universities (West) (tied). Not only that, UHD is now No. 31 in Top Public Schools-Regional Universities (West) (tied), up by nine points as compared to last year’s list.

The 2024 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings, published Sept. 18, 2023, were calculated using 19 key measures of academic quality for National Universities and 13 indicators for the National Liberal Arts Colleges, Regional Universities and Regional Colleges. Each school's ranking factors were calculated and compared with the mean and standard deviation values of other schools' to create a normalized score. Then, the normalized scores were weighted and summed to arrive at each school's final overall score.
