UHD Offers STEM Summer Program to High School Students

The Scholars Academy in collaboration with faculty in the natural sciences, computer science and engineering technology and mathematics and statistics departments at University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) are offering a summer merit program for high school students interested in biochemistry, environmental biology, chemistry and nanochemistry, computer science and robotic engineering.

This two-week preparatory program offers hands-on experience in UHD research laboratories and features Houston industry experts presenting on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The camp runs from Monday, July 11 to Friday, July 22, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

The application deadline is Friday, June 24. Consideration for the program requires submission of an online application with required documents.
