UHD Model UN Hosts Conference

UHD's Model United Nations will host the Houston International Model United Nations Conference April 12-14.

According to Eduardo Landaeta, team advisor, the conference will draw students from universities across the United States and other countries. Teams will simulate debates at the United Nations on actual world issues ranging from global climate change, humanitarian challenges, regional peace and stability, and fighting international terrorism.

HOUMUN is inviting anyone interested in participating in the conference to register at its website (http://www.houmun.org). The registration fee is $15 for UHD students and $30 for non-students.

For more information about participating or the conference, contact faculty advisor Merilee Cunningham at cunninghamm@uhd.edu or Landaeta at landaetaeduardo@yahoo.com.
