UHD, LIVE Consortium and Aids Foundation Houston Celebrate "World AIDS Day" with Anti-Stigma Rally

In coordination with "World AIDS Day," UHD will host an anti-stigma rally at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, to educate students and the community about HIV/AIDS, correct misconceptions and alleviate fears surrounding the illness.

Representatives from LIVE Consortium,Inc., a non-profit dedicated to the eradication of HIV-related stigma, and AIDS Foundation Houston, Texas' first organization dedicated to HIV prevention education and services, will address attendees and provide valuable information about living and working alongside individuals with HIV/AIDS.

Houston City Council Member Ed Gonzalez will present a City proclamation noting Monday, Dec. 2, as "Houston Anti-Stigma Day."
