UHD Introduces New Cloud Conferencing Service
Group collaboration and off-site conferencing just got easier for faculty, staff and students at the University of Houston-Downtown.
The University has partnered with Zoom, a cloud meeting company, to offer users a simple, unified format for video conferencing, simple online meetings and group messaging. Zoom offers video, audio and screen-sharing experiences across ZoomPresence, Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and H.323/SIP room systems.

Zoom is now the official UHD conference/collaboration product. This system applies to requests for Phone Bridging, Online Meetings, Electronic Class Sessions (whether solo or supplementing Blackboard) and Interviews.
Faculty, staff and students can self-register for a Zoom account with a simple, automated process with no intervention from the IT department.
