UHD Hosting HHL Student Research Conference

The University of Houston-Downtown will host the 2017 History, Humanities and Languages Student Conference on Dec. 4 in the Welcome Center's Milam and Travis Rooms. The daylong event will feature panels and presentations featuring student researchers and faculty members.

The keynote speaker is Dr. George N. Green, one of the founders of the Texas Labor Archives. His address, "The 1885 Galveston General Strike: The Stuggle for Biracial Equity on the Waterfront," begins at 10 a.m. A schedule of panels is as follows:
