It’s Homecoming Week 2022, and the events are not even close to being over—students have more opportunities to get in that Back to the Bayou spirit, and faculty and staff can participate as well. 

There have already been so many great experiences—from Mum Mania to the staff/student eSports face-off to the unstoppable energy of the inaugural Homecoming Stroll Competition. Free barbecue at the Homecoming Barbecue, the UHD Gator Pride Pep Rally, UHD Unmasked … so many happenings—check out the image carousel at the top of the page and watch UHD in a Minute. 

But wait, there’s SO MUCH MORE to come!

Today featured the UHD Talent Show and Noche Latina, where students stepped, strolled, and danced to music brought to campus by some of Houston’s hottest DJs. Friday, it’s the Office Decorating Contest and Friday Night Formal MORP (prom spelled backward).

The big event is on Saturday: Tail-gatoring from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 15. Tail-Gatoring is a traditional tailgate cook-off complete with food, contests, and an all-around good time. Alums (and every else), please come take advantage of the Cake Walk and other family activities! Then take that Gator pride over to the Jesse H. Jones Student Life Center where you can cheer on the winning Men’s Basketball team (free!) against Prairie View A&M University at 4 p.m.
