UHD Crime Alert Update: Suspect Arrested

A member of the University community was the victim of a crime on Thursday, Feb. 20, in the Washington St. Parking Lot. Investigative efforts of the UHD Police Department, in conjunction with the cooperation of the victim and citizens, culminated in the arrest of the suspect described in the Crime Alert captioned below.

At approximately 7:29 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, a female student was approached near the Washington St. Student Parking lot, located at the 700 block of Washington Ave., by a white male wielding a knife. The male demanded money from the student. The student screamed for help and the suspect ran away. A UHD Police officer, who had just exited the lot, heard the student's request for assistance and was able to respond quickly. The suspect is described as a clean shaven, white male, 150 pounds, between 30-40 years old wearing a blue "puffy" long sleeve jacket, baseball hat and backpack.
