The area near the intersection of 2nd St. and Girard St., between the One Main Building North Tower and the Faculty/Staff Garage, will be closed to pedestrian traffic until Monday morning, Aug. 6.

The City of Houston has excavated a portion of the area in preparation for work to a fire hydrant shut-off valve that will begin Saturday, Aug. 4. Pedestrians exiting the west stair tower will be confined to the sidewalk, which ends at the North Dock Lobby near the UHD Police Station. Pedestrians attempting to enter the One Main Building should also use the North Dock Lobby.
