The University of Houston-Downtown's Thursday Concert Series at Discovery Green came to a close on the evening of June 27. This year's line-up of artists showcased a range of talents, including a blues icon, a country-folk legend, a noted pop singer-songwriter, experimental music and Texas' first couple of Americana music. Performers included Lavelle White with opening act UHD alumna Annika Chambers, Marshall Crenshaw, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Carrie Rodriguez and Laboratorio and Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis.The month-long event has become an annual June tradition, showcasing the best music of the Gulf Coast and offering the public an opportunity to wind down their week and learn more about UHD.
