UHD Announces New Child Watch Center for Fall 2016

child watch centerThe University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) is pleased to announce the opening of its Child Watch Center. The center officially opened today. This is a support service for currently enrolled UHD students in need of reliable, safe, fun childcare while attending class.

The Child Watch Center is located in the One Main Building, S298. The center is operated through a partnership with the YMCA of Greater Houston.

The Child Watch service will operate under the following criteria:

  • Ages: 3-9 years
  • Hours of Operation: Center hours are 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. (Student may use the service in four hour blocks, for up to 12 hours per week, for no more than 3 days per week.)
  • Cost: $5 per hour, per child
  • Days: Monday - Thursday Fall and Spring (No summer or holidays hours)
