The 11th annual UHD Algebra Day is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 8, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in A300! 

Mark your calendar for this University-wide, community-building gathering sponsored by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics and the College of Sciences and Technology.

Why should I attend? 

There's no fun like algebra fun! The event seeks to spread the love and importance and fun of mathematics—in particular, algebra. 

Who's invited?

Everyone in the campus community! All UHD students, faculty, and staff are welcome to enjoy Algebra Day and all the fun mathy festivities!

What do you mean by ‘fun mathy festivities,’ exactly? 

You'll have the chance to win big prizes for playing games like Algebra Jeopardy, UHD Algebra Squares, Wheel of Algebra Fortune, Math Kahoot, plus a jelly bean estimation jar, raffle, and other contests and puzzles! Free pizza, chips, popcorn,  cookies, and drinks will provided.

What else will happen? 

You'll have the chance to meet representatives from our textbook publishers and campus student success organizations, get advice for spring class enrollment, and hang with your favorite Math and Statistics faculty and staff! 

Come take a study break and find out what makes math so much fun—“in addition” to its practical applications in everyday life.
