Theatre Schedule for 2014/2015 Academic Year

The University Theatre recently announced its plays for the 2014-15 academic year.

In the fall, they will present "Little Shop of Horrors", Howard Ashman's hilarious 1982 off-Broadway musical that has delighted audiences for years. The cast calls for four females, seven males . . . and a man-eating plant!

Performance dates are Oct. 24-Nov. 1. Following "Little Shop", the theatre will present 15 student-directed One Act plays. They will run Nov. 20-23.

In the spring, the theatre will present Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett's award-winning play, "The Diary of Anne Frank," a highly emotional and thought-provoking work that ultimately affirms human existence. The play will run April 3-11, 2015. Four females and four males are needed for this cast.

The final play of the season will be Lunch Time Theatre's production of "Endgame," Samuel Beckett's classic 'chess game' masterpiece that foretells man's ultimate futility and inescapable doom. This show will run from 1-1:45 p.m. every day, April 20-24, 2015. Three men and one woman are needed for the cast.

Admission is $8 for "Little Shop" and $5 for "Diary of Anne Frank." "Endgame" is free.

Tickets for all shows can be purchased online at www.uhd.edu/theatre, or at the university cashier's window on the third floor.
