Take Time to Participate in Early Voting

\Students, faculty and staff are reminded that early voting ends, Friday, Nov. 4 for the 2016 Presidential Election.

Voting is a responsibility and a privilege. You can make your vote count by visiting the poll where you are registered to vote. If you need to find out where you are registered to vote, check VoteHouston or the Harris County Clerk Election Division.

Polls will be open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Be sure to bring your voter registration card and a photo ID (Texas driver's license or a Texas Department of Public Safety-issued Texas ID card). As state employees, you are entitled to voting leave. Faculty and staff are allowed a maximum of two hours at the beginning or end of the workday to vote in federal, state and local elections without deduction from pay or leave time.

Need to know more about voting? The nonpartisan League of Women Voters of the Houston Area has published a voter's guide for the November 2016 General Election.
