UHD Career Services sponsored Career Development Week in November and facilitated several career-related workshops for students. Those students attending the workshops had a chance to have their name entered in a drawing for a $50 gift card to Palais Royal, donated by Stage Stores. Six students received the prizes, intended to be used toward purchasing professional attire.

Cathy Villarreal, manager of College Recruiting and Relocation at Stage Stores, is an alumna of UHD and was on hand to present the prizes. She regularly recruits at UHD events and is a member of the advisory board for UHD's Center for Retail Management.
