Staff Council Nominations Due June 3
Nomination forms for Staff Council Executive Committee Officers must be turned in by noon, Friday, June 3, to Erica Morales, University of Houston - Downtown (UHD) director of benefits and compensation, in room S910. Slate of nominees will be announced on Wednesday, June 6 and online elections will be held Wednesday, June 6, through Friday, June 17 (self-nominations are acceptable.)
All benefits-eligible Staff Council members in good standing with a minimum of one-year tenure at UHD are eligible for Executive Committee nomination. Administrative staff, including assistant and associate deans, deans, executive directors, assistant and associate vice presidents, vice presidents, and the president are excluded from consideration.
Nominations are being held for president-elect, secretary, treasurer, communications officer, five division ambassadors and five division ambassador alternates. Officers and ambassadors serve for a single one-year term. President-Elect serves a two-year term with the first year as President-Elect and the second as President.
All nominations are reviewed by ESO to ensure eligibility. Qualified candidates will be placed on the ballot for the election process, which is handled by the Staff Council Membership and Elections Committee.
Nominated candidates must complete the Staff Council Executive Committee Nomination Form for consideration.
