Spring Health Fair March 9

Health & Wellness Event for UHD Community

UHD Health Fair March 9

The biannual tradition is back for the new year! UHD’s Spring Health Fair, one of many campus events for students, faculty and staff, runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, in the Academic Building Special Events Room (A300).

With a host of opportunities that promote and increase health and wellness awareness to the University Community through education, preventive measures and resources, this spring event features free health screenings, free groceries and snack packs, door prizes, fitness assessments, information from more than 30 health care vendors and much more. Numerous health vendors will be available to assist students, faculty and staff with various health and wellness topics of interest.

“Twice a year, our campus comes together to promote health and wellness to our UHD Community,” said Dr. Rhonda Scherer, Associate Director, UHD Sports & Fitness. “Creating and offering such opportunities is a cornerstone of what we do as a University for our students, faculty and staff.”

The event is sponsored by the Houston Food Bank, UHD Student Affairs, UHD Sports & Fitness, UHD Student Activities and UHD Wellness Committee.
