UHD administrators hosted state Sen. Rodney Ellis on campus this morning and provided him with details about student success initiatives. University leaders also discussed proposed plans for a new science and technology building, in hopes of garnering support for the upcoming legislative session.

Ellis met with UHD President Bill Flores, in addition to Ed Hugetz, interim provost and senior vice president for academic and student affairs; Johanna Wolfe, vice president for advancement and external relations; David Bradley, vice president for administration and finance; and Noël Bezette-Flores, executive director of UHD's Center for Public Service & Family Strengths.

He also took a tour of the University and met with UHD students, faculty and staff during his visit.
