Ryden Named Associate Dean of CHSS
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences would like to welcome David Ryden as the new associate dean.
Ryden was awarded promotion to professor in the Department of Social Sciences in spring 2013. He has a fine research record with award-winning publications, has served as the history program coordinator since 2011 and has extensive experience in assessment.
He has an outstanding service record with UHD and deep knowledge of University policies and procedures. Throughout August, he has worked with Pat Mosier to facilitate a smooth transition and will assume the position on Sept. 1.
CHSS is making strides in fulfilling the University's strategic plan with the development of new programs, supporting faculty and greater community engagement. As associate dean, Ryden will play a critical role in attaining these goals.
