UHD’s Fall 2022 Week of Welcome (WOW), five days of fun-filled activities for students from Monday, Aug. 22, through Friday, Aug. 26!

The UHD tradition is back and ready to connect students with our broad array of student services and resources, who will have ample opportunities to interact with fellow students, faculty, and staff and to engage with the campus community and beyond.

There’s something for everyone—30+ events designed to engage students! Sports and fitness enthusiast? Take part in the Push-Up/Sit-Up Challenge and Sports & Fitness Frenzy. If eSports is more your thing, drop by the UHD Esports Center: Arena Grand Opening at noon on Monday, Aug. 22, or the Information Session to join a team later in the week.

Art, anyone? Get your creative juices flowing at Art Tuesday with the Student Activities team and attend Dr. Suzette Mouchaty’s Artist’s Talks on Thursday, Aug. 25, and exhibition “Suzette Mouchaty: How to Talk to a Nudibranch (and some other things worth knowing)” in the Mark & Tami Mallet Grand Lobby of the College of Sciences & Technology Building.

Fuel up to keep up with everything in store for you during WOW by sampling some of the many food events.  There’s a snack for every palate, from an ice cream social with UHD Leadership to Taco Tuesday to Cupcakes with Counselors.

And don’t forget self-care. Join UHD Counseling Services for Self-Care Bingo for some calm during WOW.

Faculty and staff are welcome to volunteer or to take a moment when they see a student on campus to say: Welcome! We’re glad you’re here!
