QEP Pizza Party a Huge Success

The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Pizza Party held on Tuesday, March 8, was a huge success. More than 400 campus faculty, staff and students attended the event to learn more about the QEP process and how it impacts them as a member of the University community.

Held in the UHD O'Kane Gallery, roundtables engaged attendees in deep dive discussions as representatives of the QEP Steering Committee summarized the definition of a QEP, UHD's QEP, and what it means for the institution. Through organic dialogue, questions and answers, attendees gained insight into QEP benefits, opportunities and expectations.

The following questions were frequently asked:

  • How can I participate in the QEP?
  • How does this benefit me in my academic and professional career?
  • Why is the QEP only restricted to the first two years?
  • When will the QEP be expanded beyond the first two years?

At the end of the event, attendees left with a clear understanding of how to incorporate QEP goals in the upcoming 2016 fall semester.

Faiza Khoja, associate vice president of the Office of Academic Affairs and QEP committee member said, "I think our goal was accomplished. Now, students, faculty and staff fully understand their roles and responsibilities in the reaccreditation process."
