Pulitzer Prize Winner to Present in CPSFS Speaker Series

Lisa Falkenberg, a Pulitzer Prize winner and columnist with the Houston Chronicle, is scheduled to present in the Center for Public Service and Family Strengths (CPSFS) Speaker Series on Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 6 -7 p.m. in the Robertson Auditorium (A350). She will be receiving the UHD Program in Social Work Person of the Year Award.

Falkenberg has won many local and state awards for her column-writing, including being named the Chronicle's Commentator of the Year. She also has received a Pulitzer Prize for columns about grand jury abuses that led to a wrongful conviction and other egregious problems in the legal and immigration systems.
