Professor Authors Text Book, Ranked Second in the Nation in Quantitative Management

Quantitative Analysis for Management CoverTrevor Hale, associate professor of management science and president of the UHD faculty senate, authored a recently released text book, "Quantitative Analysis for Management," currently ranked second in the nation in its market.

Hale joined Barry Render, Ralph M. Stair and Michael E. Hanna in writing the 12th edition of the textbook, published by Pearson. He worked closely with Hanna, professor of decision sciences at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, in developing the book.

According to the publisher, the text book provides a "genuine foundation in business analytics, quantitative methods and management science - and how to apply the concepts and techniques in the real world - through a strong emphasis on model building, computer applications and examples."

Hale teaches from this book in his MBA and master's of security management courses in UHD's College of Business. Hale and his co-authors currently are developing ancillary materials for the textbook, including a test bank, Microsoft Excel files, a solutions manual and Power Point slides.
