Dear Students, Faculty and Staff. 

There is no doubt that Spring 2020 was a difficult semester for all of you. Despite many adversities, we completed the semester and more than 1,300 Gators earned their degrees. This could not be accomplished without the combined commitment of the entire University of Houston-Downtown community.

We now move forward to the summer sessions and beyond. I am confident that our Gators will work together to overcome future challenges and ensure that UHD continues its momentum.

As you’re aware, we originally intended to celebrate our Spring 2020 graduates’ accomplishments last weekend. Many factors prevented us from hosting this event, but as previously announced, it has been rescheduled for December with an added event, the Virtual Graduation Celebration slated for 7 p.m., June 11.  

I would like to congratulate all of our graduates and extend my gratitude to those faculty and staff members who helped our Gator Graduates along the way. 

Thank you, Gators! Everyone’s hard work is indeed admirable and continues to make a difference for our institution and our region.
